Week 15 NFL Locks

Another losing session last week.

No worries. Three more weeks, plus playoffs, to right the ship.

Saturday’s double header features Buffalo at Denver and Carolina at Green Bay.

I like Buffalo to have a let down and possibly lose the game. They’ve been playing great. They just won back to back games on primetime television against a decent 49ers team and a good Steelers squad. They gained a comfortable cushion on the Dolphins during that stretch. Maybe they’re getting a little too comfortable and will relax a bit this week. Denver has been very competitive this year, and they’ll be at home with that altitude, which Buffalo isn’t used to. Give me Denver (+6.5) at home against Buffalo.

I like Carolina to hang in there against Green Bay. Let’s face it, Green Bay is due for an unexpected battle in a game like this. Carolina isn’t a bad football team. They have a professional qb, with plenty of experience against Green Bay, and a new coach who’s into all this raw, raw shit. That’s enough to make be believe the game will at least be close. Let’s go Teddy. As my son has learned to say very well around my house this year, “They’re gonna GET those Packers today!” Give me the Panthers (+8.5) to do just that.

The game I like the most, that I’m actually gonna put 2 units on this week is Tampa Bay at Atlanta. The Falcons have been absolutely dreadful the past two weeks on offense. Matt Ryan has looked terrible without Julio Jones in the line-up. Jones will again be lame this week, and I think Tampa Bay is ready to get their offense in high gear for the stretch run into the playoffs. I like Tampa Bay (-6) big this week.

I also like the Chiefs. I know Drew Brees is back, but I don’t care. The Chiefs defense is actually underrated a little bit this year and is excellent at creating turnovers. Brees doing his dink-and-dunk down the field will provide them plenty of opportunities to create takeaways. The Chiefs offense is unstoppable. Patrick Mahomes had three interceptions, and the Chiefs turned the ball over a total of 4 times last week. Kansas City was up 30-10 in the third quarter. The worst version of their offense scored 33 points last week. Give me Kansas City (-3). I also like the over in this game (52).

The Dolphins defense is excellent. The Patriots offense is atrocious. Bill Belichick is 11-0 against rookie quarterbacks in his career when seeing them for the first time, including a 45-0 romp over rookie of the year Justin Herbert earlier this season. I’m gonna respect the Dolphins enough to not pick against them, but this game has 16-13 written all over it. Give me the under (41.5) on total points in the Patriots-Dolphins game.

I also think that Rams-Jets line is just to scare everybody away from betting it. If I know my man Sean McVay I think he’ll be in the mood to run it up. Give me the Rams (-17) over the Jets.

Bonus Pick: Seattle (-5) over Washington.

***SEASON RECORD***: 54-59-1 (5-7 last week) (7-8 on Vikings picks this season)
