Week 10 NFL Locks

I started out well last week, but the afternoon and night games didn’t treat me very well.

Apparently the Dolphins are good. Who knew?

Tonight the Titans take on the Colts. Both teams have good records. It’s a short week. The Titans already have plenty of experience with that this year. The Colts are a little older on defense and at the quarterback position. Maybe that will play a factor on a short week. It’s a straight up pick’em game. I think the Titans will win it, and I’m also gonna do something I hardly ever do. Give me the Titans and the Under (48.5).

As far as Sunday’s games go here are a few that I like:

The Chargers go to Miami this week in a game that features two potential future stars at the quarterback position. Is it possible they get into a shootout? A little game of can-you-top-this? I think so. I’ll take Chargers-Dolphins over 48 points.

I think I’ll take the bait on the Seahawks this week. After starting the year undefeated they’ve now lost two in a row, but they still have Russell Wilson and that great offense. The Rams are 5-3 but their win resume is not at all impressive to me. All they’ve done basically is beat up on the NFC East. In a shootout of Jared Goff vs Russell Wilson, I’ll take Wilson all day. Give me the Seahawks (+2.5) and the over (54.5), as I continue to ride the wave of Seattle getting involved in shootouts.

The Browns don’t have a bad loss on their resume yet this year. Let’s go ahead and give them one. Give me the Texans (+4.5) over the Cleveland.

I like the Patriots to hang in there this Sunday night against the Ravens. I know this hasn’t been a good year for Belichick’s Patriots but he might still have a few tricks up his sleeve on defense. Remember the Super Bowl against the Rams two seasons ago? The Rams were supposed to be unstoppable offensively after averaging almost 33 points a game during the regular season. It was supposed to be the new younger, smarter, offensive minded head coach taking down the old-fashioned thinking, older, defensive coach. The final score was 13-3 Patriots. The lowest scoring Super Bowl in history. Some argue the Ravens have the best weapon in football in Lamar Jackson, because he can beat you in so many different ways. I’ll take Belichick to slow him down. The Ravens might win, but if they do it will be close. Give me the Patriots and the points (+7).

And now to my bread and butter. The Minnesota pick. I hate Chicago, I think they are perhaps one of the five worst teams in the NFL. I passionately want the Vikings to win this game. I won’t be a fun guy to be around when the lights come on in Chicago Monday night. So I hope I’m wrong about this…I think Chicago will win. I just have that feeling of doom going into this game. I think the Bears defense will dictate the tempo and make it tough for Minnesota to move the ball all night. And the storyline on Tuesday morning for me will be Nick Foles somehow had his way with the Vikings defense when Aaron Rodgers and Mathew Stafford couldn’t.

The good news is I haven’t been very good at picking Vikings games this year. Hopefully I’ll be wrong again. Give me the Bears (+3.5) at home against Minnesota.

Bonus Picks: Cardinals (-2.5) over Buffalo. Giants (+4) over Eagles.

***SEASON RECORD***: 27-25-1 (6-5 last week) (3-6 on Vikings picks)
