And in 3 of the last 4 years that means it’s time for Twins baseball…
Tomorrow the Twins-Astros series starts off the 2020 postseason. And although they haven’t won one of these games since 2004, despite plenty of appearances in the meantime, we’re gonna saddle up and ride with the Twins this year.
The reason being I’m ready to look at this the correct way. In past playoff years my view has always been, let’s just get a win and go from there. This year, I’m not hoping for one win, I’m looking for 13 of them. And I don’t care if it takes 22 games to do it.
We have one of the best line-ups in the league. No one wants to face them one through nine. So let’s start acting like it.
And Maeda and Barrios can pitch with anyone.
I’m gonna wake up early tomorrow. Earlier than my kids. I’m gonna go for a little jog, get the blood flowing, be productive, and get some work done before 1pm Central time rolls around. So when game time is upon me I’ll be ready. I don’t usually do that, but I’m changing things up a tweak or two tomorrow, out of respect for my Twins hopefully doing the same and winning a postseason series.
And after we take care of business in that first series, like we expect to do, whether we play the A’s or White Sox in the 2nd round…they’re going to have to adjust to us. We will stay aggressive at the plate and go after their hitters from the mound.
I’m tired of this ‘poor me’ Twins shit. We deserve to be where we are, we haven’t come close to playing our best baseball yet, so let’s do this now.
Rocco feel free to give Sano a much needed rest in the first series, maybe his bat speed will catch up a little bit.
And guys…put the ball in play with runners on base for gosh sakes.
We got this.
