Miami Mess

Just woke up and read that MLB has cancelled the Miami Marlins home opener against the Orioles. Ten of their players have confirmed positive coronavirus tests, while the rest of the team is staying in Philadelphia to get tested today.

I have no idea how they are going to finish this baseball season. I doubt the league was smart enough to have a contingency plan for something like this…A full team being wiped out.

The Arizona bubble idea the league proposed in April, (ironically stolen by the NBA and so far successful) that everyone mocked and was quickly dismissed, is starting to look pretty good right about now.

Even if they do figure out a way to get past this one, it’s bound to come up again. Maybe even hit the Marlins again, or anyone playing them in Miami. We all know Florida is the worst state in America as far as Covid-19 cases are concerned.

Maybe we didn’t think this all the way through.
