I’m so tired of famous people, whether it’s musicians, athletes, actors, etc, getting interviewed and saying they have no regrets or they “wouldn’t change a thing.”
Spare me.
Enough.
It’s bullshit.
There’s not a single person on the planet who doesn’t have multiple things they’ve done in their life they regret.
I have thousands.
I think about many of them everyday.
They just pop up in my mind and I shake my head.
WTF was I thinking?
But please, don’t sell me on your holier than thou bullshit of you lived your best life and that’s what got you to where you are today.
I understand people thinking everything they endured on their life path has brought them to where they are, and they wouldn’t change anything about that.
But the logic is flawed.
If it wasn’t that particular thing, it would have been something else along the way that woke them up.
In the meantime basic morality and common sense should lead you to say “Yeah I probably shouldn’t have cheated on my girlfriend that time in college. That was a nasty thing to do to someone I cared a lot about.”
Not, “We’ll if I didn’t cheat on my girlfriend in college one night for no reason I wouldn’t be where I am today…succussful and famous!”
OOOOOOhhhhh.
Having no regrets means you’re an idiot.
