It continues to amaze me, time and time again, how police are always making ‘mistakes’ when it comes to killing black people, but seem to have no problem detaining and keeping white people alive during search warrants, after mass shootings, or during capital riots.
It continues to bother me that my two older kids are only a few years away from being out on their own in a world where a short trip down the street to the store, or simply going to and from work, is never a guarantee.
They shouldn’t have to live their lives like that.
And parents shouldn’t have to worry about it.
